Installation not working on WIMP or WAMP

I have been trying to install the SCF bundle that I've downloaded from here but have been unsuccessful. When trying to install the SCF Installation Profile under IIS 6, I get a HTTP 500 error (though the Drupal Installation Profile from the same tarball works). When I try to install the same thing under Apache 2.2, I get the following error when trying to install the Apache service:

Errors reported here must be corrected before the service can be started.
httpd: Syntax error on line 61 of C:/Program Files (x86)/Apache Software Foundat
ion/Apache2.2/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load E:/drupal-scf/scf-wwwroot/modules/mod
_actions.so into server: The specified module could not be found.

Does this installation profile currently work on a Windows server? What are the specific parameters under which you expect it to work? This is the second installation of Drupal on this server and I've been able to confirm that the web servers work and that PHP is configured for this instance. I'm working with Acquia on this issue as well but we've not been able to find a solution and everything seems to point to an error with the SCF Installation profile.

Vanilla Drupal 6 installation

Hi James.

SCF has not been tested on IIS. What I would recommend as a first step is to check whether a vanilla Drupal 6 installation works on your server. You can download the latest version of Drupal 6 at http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/drupal-6.15.tar.gz

Please report back!

Stephane.

RE: Vanilla Drupal 6 installation

Hi Stephane,

We already have Drupal 6 working on this box successfully - Acquia helped to install it. Since we figured that SCF had not been tested with IIS, I've tried to use the Apache software that is also on this server - no luck.

James, SCF is going under

James,

SCF is going under heavy refactoring to the moment, and we're working on using Drupal 7 for the next release. It's probably best to wait until then to try it on IIS. Drupal 7 has improved support for several server platforms.
